1960's Homemade Horror?

Post by wich2 on 3/29/2017, 3:41 pm

Dear Folks-

Some of you may have seen this post on the OTRR Facebook page:

"I'm trying to recall the name of the Ed Wood-ish homemade, low-budget radio show creator, perhaps from the Northeast and from the 1960s, who did his own Himan Brown-style horror show. broadcast perhaps by WFMU in the past decade and released on a couple CD compilations."

I recall hearing what I'm almost sure was this - thing! - a few years back, but don't seem to have kept the file.

Any help here?

Best,
-Craig

Are you thinking of the series The Black Mass?

Oh, NO, keilj - Bauersfeld's work is VERY good!

Here's the man I was thinking of then (I hope you're sitting down...)

Thanks Craig for bringing this to my attention I found two albums of Fountain's radio shows on Google Play and bought them. They are hilariously bad. Charles.

'Welcome, Charles.

Yes, they're so poor - but Judson an co. are so in earnest!

Just amazing stuff to hear.
