Interview with OTR collectors Frank Rosin and Bob Blume

Post by greybelt on 8/26/2017, 1:35 pm

Here's an interview I did with Seattle area OTR fans Frank Rosin (Roh-zeen) and Bob Blume -- the evening before Mrs Greybelt & I headed out for our Alaska cruise. Frank has collected since the mid-1960s, and we discussed what it was like collecting at that time. We covered many other subjects, including the history of REPS (Radio Enthusiasts of Puget Sound) and their relationships with many of the actors of the radio era, and also Jim French's productions. Frank has served as a sound effects artist in them for the last 20 years. Jim French's shows included Tower Playhouse, Crisis, Dameron, Harry Nile, and others including some new Sherlock Holmes productions. Bob and Frank talk about French's shows. And if Bob Blume and I are together, there must be a discussion about Bob & Ray. The recording is just under 45 minutes. Enjoy!
