Road Of Life (Potholes and all)
And now, it's time to take a journey down. . . The Road Of Life!
Join us as we hit pothole after pothole down the road to the small town of Merrimac, populated by our heroes Dr. Jim Brent and his wife Jocelyn. Jim, a handsome stud of a man, wages war daily with disease and dysfunction, all while looking like a model from GQ with his dimples digging permanent holes in his cheeks and chin. His spunky but resillient wife Jocelyn continues her quest to develop every mind- and spirit-numbing distemperature to keep her husband in business.
I have more than twenty episodes here, 28 by my count, though a couple may be duplicates. You can decide for yourself which are worth your time. . . . and don't forget, DUZ does everything!
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And as an added bonus (which is redundant, since "bonus" implies something extra), here is the television version of the show, sponsored by Proctor and Gamble. Don McLaughlin and Virginia Dwyer played the same roles on the television version that they had played on the radio version. Virginia Dwyer, lead actress on this series, and Walter Gorman, one of the directors, were married to each other in real life. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Bubble up for the soaps here and those to come. Anyone with fills are encouraged to upload.

Re: Road Of Life (Potholes and all)
Thanks Brother Ghemrats. I picked up some new ones. By the way, Bill and Frank Talk is the same episode as Helen's Husband In Accident. I believe it is from 1940. Also, I believe "Beth is Sick" is from 49-09-29.

Thanks once again for the due diligence, Brother Nightkey. I consider you the Duke of Dates.

My NOT posting is probably saving considerable wear and tear on Nightkey's nerves. There was a time when my enthusiasm far outstretched my due diligence. And it kept Nightkey hopping.
So Thank You Nightkey, for all you've done for us in the OTR collecting community. And for the incredible patience you've shown to us... ummm.... "impulsive" types.

Heck, I don't care where they are from--I'm just excited to travel down this Road again. Thanks, Bobby. (I love this stuff)

Re: Road Of Life (Potholes and all)
My cup bubbleth over with these soaps, Bobby. I have a nice collection of this series, but almost all of them are from the mid- to late-forties. These are a welcome addition.
