Welcome to Space Cadet's World! A place where Kaiju stomp fests abound.

Yup, I can gleefully sit through hour upon hour of mega monster silliness. And tonight, you can too. Starting with...

Gamera: Destroy All Planets (1968)

Gamera the Flying Turtle falls under the spell of evil aliens, but two children free him and he returns to fight the aliens' monster, Viras. The special effects in this one are... Umm... special.

Oh, this one is a total classic. How it failed to score multiple Oscars, I'll never understand.

The Terror of Mechagodzilla (1975)

An Interpol investigation uncovers a shunned biologist, his cyborg daughter, and their monstrous dinosaur, entwined in a alien plot to resurrect Mechagodzilla and construct a new utopia from the ashes of humanity. The cheese in this one is melty, generously portioned and spread lavishly.

Just to prove that I'm flexible and have broad tastes, here's a serious piece of hard core Sci-Fi.

Invasion of the Neptune Men (1961)

Starring: Sonny Chiba

Clumsy invaders from Neptune are thwarted by hero Space Chief and a nondescript group of microshort-wearing Japanese kids.

Kaiju Stomp Fest, Day 2!

Let's kick things off with the original...

Godzilla, King Of The Monsters! (1956)

Starring a carefully edited in: Raymond Burr

An American reporter visiting Tokyo becomes a witness to the city's destruction by a dinosaur-like beast awoken from undersea hibernation by atom bomb testing.

Next, we have the true original. Not a dub. But there are subs.

Gojira (1954)

After a dinosaur-like beast - awoken from undersea hibernation by atom bomb testing - ravages Tokyo, a scientist must decide if his similarly dangerous weapon should be used to destroy it.

Next, we have the original sequel in the ever growing series. This is was actually the hardest in the series to find for many years. There is now a dubbed version. But I prefer this subbed version.

Godzilla Raids Again (1955)

Fishing scout pilots are startled to discover a second Godzilla and a new monster called Anguirus, both of which make their way to Osaka as Japan braces to relieve the horror of Godzilla once more.

How can I not add the first Japanese Kaiju movie made with the U.S. market in mind. And NO, there was never a version with an alternate ending for the Japanese market.

King Kong Vs Godzilla (1962)

A UN reporter covers the appearance of a prehistoric monster that emerges from hibernation, while a pharmaceutical company seeks publicity with a monster of their own.

Feel free to let me know if I should keep expanding on this genre.
