This very unique Quiz Show was a local series from Detroit

Night Court Quiz. January 21, 1948. Michigan Radio Network, WXYZ, Detroit origination. Sustaining. A different-but-not-very-interesting format; the show originates from outside a Detroit night court. Contestants (who presumably have just appeared before a judge) are asked questions about how well they know traffic regulations in Detroit. Fred Foy (host).

The show is along the same lines as "Information, Please"," except that all of the questions are about books. It even has Clifton Fadiman as the host.

This recording from the inaugural WNYC Book Festival pits ”the Critics” - Charles Poore of The New York Times Book Review alongside Columbia University Professor of Philosophy Irwin Edman - ¬†against “the Authors” - Alfred Kazin of The New Yorker, paired with Jan Struther, the creator of “Mrs. Miniver.”

Mind Over Music
August 31, 1949

Musical quiz show with the strangely sarcastic John Savage. The panelists include Walter Hendl, former Assistant Conductor of the New York Philharmonic; Vernon Duke, composer of Cabin in the Sky and other works; and WNYC's shoeless troubadour Oscar Brand. Listener guest: Winnefred Young, pianist.
