Re: The Aldrich Family
Here is what I believe is another uncirculated episode. Well, after I bore everyone with details.
I received this file some time ago dated 490417 Henry's Blind Date. When I went through my files to eliminate duplicates I realized it was not the same as the correctly dated show. It had a similar intro to 391017 with actress Betty Field so I suspected it could be the next weeks show, but couldn't find any proof, so it sat undated in my collection. Once the Aldrich Family log was posted about a year ago I was finally able to go through and confirm the date with that log. Here is the snippet from the log for this date. The episode does seem to run a little slow.
1939-10-24
It's a "blind date" for Henry during the "Aldrich Family" episode on NBC-KWK at 7 o'clock
tonight. "Henry," Ezra Stone, and his pal "Dizzy" arrange the affair, with Betty Field as the
"menace" to romance. {"News From Radio Stations," St. Louis Star-Times [St. Louis, Missouri],
October 24, 1939.}
A “blind date” opens Henry Aldrich’s eyes to the snares of Dan Cupid in the WHAM broadcast
tonight at eight o’clock. Betty Field, of the original cast and now a Hollywood star, will remain a
second week in the cast. General Foods Corp. {“Henry Aldrich On Blind Date,” Rochester
Democrat and Chronicle [Rochester, New York], October 24, 1939.}

Re: The Aldrich Family
Adding to Gathol's note, these are the comments I also had from the WSJ and The Lima News for this date. (I hate to rely on just one source)
Henry has a blind date. WSJ
Young Henry Aldrich's love affairs take a difficult turn during the Tuesday episode of the Aldrich Family, heard at 8 p.m. over WJZ. Even Henry is unable to cope with the number of heartbeats that besiege him. He winds up with the fervent wish that his girls would come to town one at a time instead of in droves. Betty Field, screen star and member of the original cast of the Aldrich Family, will make her second appearance as Henry's new love interest, Barbara Pearson. Ezra Stone, as Henry, discovers that a grandmother who dotes on accompanying Barbara on her date is not as much of a handicap as his friend Dizzy. LMN
Gathol, would you mind re-posting your file please?

Actually, if you go to Nightkey's post from right before mine his links are still active for those two shows, even though it is from 2 years ago. The 2 pictures are the links if you just right click on them you can download them. I had the same problem and was delighted when I didn't have to ask for a repost!
