MARK TRAIL
In the process of cleaning up my files (and Greybelt's) I found a web site for a place that had the scripts for most of the Mark Trail episodes. The scripts weren't available online BUT they did go through and record the correct title, date and program number for the episodes they had. Here is the new and more complete log for the series
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It also confirms what you might have suspected. The 15 minute daily shows that appear later in the run are just expanded versions of the original 30 minute programs.
No "new" episodes were found but I did note that even the HQ episodes available were littered with hundreds of loud clicks and pops and in many cases, the two halves of the programs weren't merged very neatly so you had long periods of just noise in the middle of the show. Sad, compulsive file fiddler that I am I cleaned up what I could. For the HG files I didn't do much about any background noise - scratches and the like, as I was afraid to spoil the HQ aspect of the whole thing. The lower quality files were attacked with my usual reckless abandon. With only one or two exceptions, the sound for these LQ shows is very good.
Anyway, I'm posting the results so you can listen, compare, and decide for yourselves (if you want).

Re: MARK TRAIL
I remember first hearing the series several years ago and being surprised at how much I enjoyed it. More recently an even bigger surprise ..... Mrs Geezer liked it too. She's only recently got back into listening to OTR while on her morning walks.
Hope you had good luck on your hospital visit. Been there - done that a few times myself. Actually just did it a little over a month ago. What scares me is that it's beginning to feel a little routine
On to today's offerings

Re: MARK TRAIL
I read some more newspapers and documented my findings.
The doc contains some of the missing episode titles and some different episode orders.

Thanks James, especially for the comparison chart. Haven't run through the whole thing yet but it all looks wonderful. I was very happy to see that the script information and newspaper accounts match up (in most cases) You have to wonder if there was an actual title change at some point or if the publicity people just got it wrong. Anyway, Great Research. I envy people who can dig into a subject like this. I never could as almost anything distracts me. That's why I have dozens of little projects I started on but never finished.

Thanks for these Geezer. It's interesting how relevant they could still be today. A lot of the issues are still the same.

I had no idea!
Thanks for posting these. I had no idea there were so many episodes of this series!
Would you be willing to share them with me? I would like to get them as .flac or .wav even better.
I can send you a list of what I have to trade.
Thanks.

I'm not entirely clear on what you want. I'm posting the shows I have in the format in which I have them. There aren't any more available episodes that I'm aware of, although I'm always hopeful more will show up.
The OTRR Library has many of these in flac however, the ones I listened to have the long, noisy gaps I mentioned in the opening post. You can always listen to theirs and compare with mine. Keep the ones you like and discard the others.
If I've misinterpreted what you're after, let me know and we can sort it out.
