Just a quick note that Stewart Wright (otrwashh) has passed away just recently. Jerry Haendiges shared this on the OTRR Facebook. One of the most prolific log creators of recent years, his diligent research will be missed.

This is very sad news indeed. Stewart was a great supporter of the Cobalt Club and a tireless researcher I cannot believe this has happened I was talking to him a while back and wow this has really knocked the wind out of my sails again.

Condolences to his family he will be greatly missed here at the club his contributions to OTR are legendary and long shall he be held in high esteem here.

I met and chatted with Stewart several years ago at the Cinci Nostalgia Con. Nice fellow and a major contributor to the OTR world. Sad to hear of his death.

(I was going to say chatted briefly with Stewart but I'm not sure "briefly" was possible with him. A walking library of OTR info) Smile

It's a tragedy, that the OTR community has lost such a dedicated member. But it breaks my heart, that we've lost another friend.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I didn't know Stewart but I know a lot about him. Well respected and most dedicated to OTR. He will be greatly missed.

Really shocked to learn of Stewart's passing. Pat Lucanio, editor of SPERDVAC's Radiogram forwarded notification he had just received of Stewart's passing. Included was this forwarded email:

>
> On Jan 5, 2020, at 4:01 AM, Joseph Webb <drjoewebb@yahoo.com> emailed:
>
> The Facebook page of OTRR and some of the forums had comments asking if anyone had heard from Stewart recently.
>
> Larry Albert, who has taken over Jim French Productions in Seattle, called the Lakewood, CO police and they reported that Stewart died of natural causes just before Thanksgiving.
>
> As best as we can tell, he had no family other than a brother, and no one knows anything more about him, and may have predeceased him -- no one knows!
>
> What happened to SW's research materials and collection is not known at this time.

Sad to lose one of our own and especially sad to realize that so much time passed without anyone knowing. RIP, Stewart.

I'm so sorry to hear this terrible news. My only interaction with Stewart had been to submit some minor updates for one of his logs which he accepted graciously, but I certainly knew of him and his name was always a guarantee of quality and depth. His work will live on for a very long time. RIP.
