Re: The Casebook of Gregory Hood
With regards to the episode
Casebook of Gregory Hood 50-XX-XX The Over Praised Season (last half only)
At the end, it says that George Petrie starred as Gregory Hood and it was on ABC.
According to the Digital Deli log, it says that Martin Gabel played Hood in the 1950 series and that in the short 1951 season, George Petrie played Hood. It also says that there is next weeks episode to follow. According to Deli's log, there was only a couple of shows from 1951, so it appears that the date of this episode could be Oct 3/51.
Any thoughts on this? This group has now increased the number of episodes, either complete or partial to 18. Good job everyone!
Best regards

Re: The Casebook of Gregory Hood
lasombra, I believe in listening to this partial episode, that it could well be 46-08-19 12 The Mad Dancer.
Gregory Hood and his pal, Sandy Taylor, shake the dust of San Francisco from their feet and journey to New York for a well earned vacation, but find that murder dogs their footsteps even in Manhattan during "The Mad Dancer.
What do you think?

Re: The Casebook of Gregory Hood
I agree. It's definitely Gale Gordon in the title role so that narrows it down to the summer of 1946.
Here's another newspaper description of the episode, "The Mad Dancer":
"Gregory Hood and his pal, Sandy Taylor, shake the dust of San Francisco from their feet and journey to New York for a well-earned vacation, but find that murder dogs their footsteps even in Manhattan. The two friends attend a swank premiere of a new ballet, but when a killing takes place during the performance, their detective instincts refuse to allow them to remain in the audience, and they are off in search of a murderer who plans his crimes in time with the pas deux of the ballerinas."
