Jay Hickerson

Received this email from Pat Lucanio, editor of Radiogram earlier today seeking confirmation about an injury Jay Hickerson may have recently suffered.  I have no information on this.  Can anyone here confirm or refute the report?  Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm trying to finish Radiogram and received this info about Jay Hickerson being seriously injured in an accident "two weeks ago."  I've checked the Internet and find info about him falling but no date--one, though, said November 7, 2011!  With your connections in OTR what can you tell me about this?  Is he still in ICU or did this happen ten years ago or what?  If you can check this out I'd appreciate it; if it's a hassle I'll just make a brief mention that Jay is recuperating from a fall.

This is Karen Hickerson on Jay Hickerson's e-mail. Jay suffered a very bad
traumatic brain injury a little over three weeks ago and has been at a
University of Florida hospital in Gainesville, FL. He was in the ICU until
two days ago. His recovery is unknown. He is unable to read any e-mails.
I am leaving them in his e-mail should he be able to read them.
