As fan of Robert Bloch's short fiction, one of the "lost" series I've been most eager to track down is his 1945 syndicated show Stay Tuned for Terror. So I was thrilled to hear an episode last night on the WBAI otr revival show Dustbin of History. Here's a link for you to download it if you're like me and have been hunting for these for a while.

Stay Tuned for Terror: "The Boogie Man Will Get You"

Now -- does anyone have other episodes of Stay Tuned for Terror? Are there any others in circulation? I'd love to hear more! Thanks.

Nick

Thank you for this rare episode nickp57!
I have never heard of this one before. In case you missed it here is a log of what was broadcast. Unfortunately Jerry Haendiges log (N/A) shows he doesn't have any of these.

Thanks for the heads up! I probably should've updated this post, but I was actually able to track down the source of the Boogey Man episode and it turned out that OTR collector David Lennick had uncovered a disc he'd gotten decades ago with two episodes of STFT -- The Boogey Man Will Get You and Lizzie Borden Took an Axe. He was kind enough to digitize them and I went ahead and uploaded them here in FLAC and Mp3:

OTR historian Karl Schadow has done some incredible work digging into the backstory of STFT and Robert Bloch's other radio writing in the Sept/Oct 2020 issue of Old Radio Times (starts on pg 5).

Thank you, nickp57! There is quite a difference in program numbers. In the original posts here on Cobalt the Bogie story was #38, the Lizzie story #28. In the two posted on archive.org Bogey is #31 and Lizzie is #32. In the article by Karl Schadow the numbers are Bogie #37 and Lizzie #27. Hmmmmm... Ne'er the twain shall meet.

Yeah, what a headache! I would definitely go with whatever Karl has in this case. The numbers I posted for them on Archive were just the numbers written on Lennick’s disc and I believe the one on Cobalt was the best I could find via radio logs online. I’d trust Karl’s research here.
