Hackberrry Hotel was amazingly racist. But in Dallas, TX in 1948 that's about as surprising as sunshine in the the daytime. The program was broadcast on 570 WFAA-AM and was 15 minutes long and at least in 1948, sponsored by the Armstrong Packing Co

Almost everything on there is a very substantial quality upgrade to what's been available before.

Now if we could only download them.

Rightclick & view page source.
Find (ctrl-f) and search for mp4
Copy the link - make sure to not copy any extra characters (starts with http and ends with m3u8, choose either the high or medium quality)

Open VLC media player (You'll need to download it if you don't have it!)
In VLC select Media - Open network stream and paste in the link
In the dropdown menu where it currently says 'Play', select 'Convert'
Tick 'dump raw output', click 'Browse' and choose where you want to save the file, and type a filename then click 'save'.
Click 'Start'
At this point it'll look like nothing is happening, but at the top of VLC it'll say 'Streaming'. Wait until the word 'Streaming' disappears, then you'll know it's done.
The file will have no file extention. so give it one (.aac)
Now play the file and skip to the end to make sure it's all downloaded. Occasionally a download will fail and you'll be left with half a file, but a 2nd attempt usually succeeds.

Instead of VLC if you have other download managers/helpers you can try those instead. It's not a simple regular download though, hence why you need VLC, but I know that people have succeeded using other download programs.

That didn't work for me so instead of "Dump Raw Input" I checked "Convert" and it worked like a charm.

'Dump raw output' allows you to download the original file (.aac) without re-encoding to another format, no idea why it didn't work.  If you do 'convert' then ignore what I said about renaming to .aac as it'll probably be converting it to wav?

There's an easier way to download them but I can't remember the program.  Last time I mentioned it someone said they'd managed to download them with this other program who's name I forget.  It's a program that's been around for years and people use if for batch downloading links from the various free filehosts, I just can't remember the darn name.
EDIT: Remembered it: JDownloader.

BTW, "The Lady With the Lamp" is from April 27, 1941.
