From Goldin: Beat Your Wife. April 11, 1950. KMOX, St. Louis. Westinghouse Appliances. The program originates from Loew's State Theatre, St. Louis. A good quizzer with a fascinating title, live orchestra and different format. However, the theme song ("Love Nest") is stolen right from George Burns and Gracie Allen. The jackpot tonight is $3285. The KMOX Orchestra, Stan Dougherty (conductor), Beulah Sharp (?), Curt Ray (?).

The WCMI Barn Dance Review. Program #Feb. 1937. WCMI, Ashland, Kentucky. A "barn dance" program with performers identified mostly by nicknames. The first tune heard is, "When The Roses Bloom In Dixieland." While "Accordion Annie," plays, "Cousin Elmer" sings, "Little Threads Of Silver Peeping Through The Gold." . The Kettle Kut-Up Gang; Juanita Moore; Curley Collins;.

This is really rough- scratchy and skips Just a partial

Asher Sizemore (1906-1975) initially worked as a bookkeeper for a mining company in Pike County, Kentucky, but aspired to be a singer. In 1931, singing old-time and cowboy songs, he appeared on radio in Huntington, West Virginia, before moving to WCKY Cincinnati and then WHAS Louisville, where he was first joined on air by his five-year-old son Jimmie (1928-  ). In 1933, the duo were hired by the WSM Grand Ole Opry, where they remained a popular act for about 10 years.

Asher and Little Jimmie continued to tour regularly and augmented their income with very successful mail-order sales of their annual books of "Hearth & Home Songs" that also included many family photographs. They also made transcription disc recordings that Asher syndicated to radio stations. By the late 30s, the act also included Jimmie’s younger brother Buddy—Little Buddy Boy.

Drawing mainly on sentimental songs and hymns, the Sizemore act maintained a successful career throughout the 1940s.  Jimmie and Buddy both served in the US Forces in Korea, Buddy being killed in action in 1950. Asher and Jimmie later moved to Arkansas where they would both work on radio. Asher Sizemore died in 1975. Jimmie moved to Oklahoma and continued to work on radio in an executive capacity.
