Thank you dbf for the extra Frank Merriwell episodes and thank you very much Geezer for the pointer to the Otter log which I hadn't looked at, I was using Jerry H's log, Goldin and the Library of Congress but Otter adds a lot more information.

Otter also suggests that more episodes are available than I thought so I wonder if anybody can please help with any of these episodes of The Adventures of Frank Merriwell?
1948-08-28 (100) Adventure on the Big Pier
1948-10-16 (107) The Coal-Line Stand
1949-01-22 (120) The Double Test
1949-01-29 (121) The Dangerous Quest
1949-02-26 (125) The Incriminating Papers*
1949-04-09 (131) The Missing Witness

* OTRR Library have an episode dated 1949-02-26, but it is The Unexpected Game from 1949-03-26 (the title in the file is correct). I also got the same episode, The Unexpected Game, from Radio Archives dated as 1948-03-26, so it gets around!

On the misisng episode 117, I wonder if it was a script that was never produced. The Library of Congress copyright lists skip directly from 116 to 118, and JJ's logs show WNBC preemptions on both 1948-12-25 (Eddie Cantor's Christmas Party) and 1949-01-01 (American Legion Auxillary Drama). If there was no episode 117 it would also mean they produced 39 episodes for the 1948-49 season which makes logistical sense.

Anyway thank you!

Geezer, I think your Missing Witness should be 1949-04-09. 1949-04-02 is April Shower Adventure.

kdmarket:
If you ever find the actual AFRS recording of Suspense 1945-04-19  Pearls Are A Nuisance, that is one that I am seeking.

The recording is listed in RadioGoldindex but I have only seen the network version in circulation

THANKS!!

I see Haendiges has it as April Showers on April 2nd but Goldin has it on April 9th. Neither has Missing Witness. Haven't found a newspaper listing for it yet.

I was just going over my Frank Merriwell mp3s and a lot of them had false dates which came from the Radio Archives releases...or the Goldin dates are wrong ! It started making more sense when I used the Goldin dates on the episodes...

Thank you for all the Merriwells!

Geezer, I was taking this as reasonably definitive: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
which has The April Shower Adventure on April 2nd and The Missing Witness on April 9th. But maybe that source has flaws that I haven't found yet.

dbf, maybe you have already finished straightening your files out, but from Radio Archives I found their volume 1 had 1948-01-15, 1948-03-26 and 1948-04-02, all of which should be the same dates but in 1949, and 1948-08-18 which should be 1949-08-14. On their volume 2 I found 1949-01-22 which should be 1949-02-05, and 1949-01-29 which should be 1949-02-12.

Does anyone have upgrades of shows by Baron Keyes (Air Castle, Uncle Joe's Curio Shop etc.)?

Also episodes of Louie's Hungry Five? I already know of Randy Riddle's collection (if he is in this group, THANKS!).

Thanks

Does anyone have this one? I only have a four-minute clip.

WQXR Halloween Party. October 31, 1948. WQXR, New York. Sustaining. What if WQXR were a network? A satirical broadcast day at the station, starting with "Pru and Rex" (the only divorced couple doing a morning chat show). "Like It Or Lump It," a WQXR quiz show. "Supermom." Sebastion Bhuh comments on the news. "A bad dream of a program." Pru Devon, Rex Benware, Arch Kepner (writer, producer), Wills Hollingsworth (writer), Alan Tolby (announcer), Leonid Hambro (piano), Maureen Ryan, Duncan Pierney, Phillip Stahl, Alyn Edwards. 53:38.

Long shot, but does anyone have this...

Light's Golden Jubilee. October 21, 1929. Blue net, WJZ, New York aircheck. Sustaining. The program originates from The Edison Institute Of Technology, Dearborn, Michigan, celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the electric light. Edison connects one of his original light bulbs, then shakes hands with Henry Ford and Herbert Hoover. From Philadelphia, a replica of the Liberty Bell is heard. "The Old Fashioned Ford Orchestra" plays "favorites of fifty years ago" (mostly deleted from this recording). Mr. Edison speaks for about two minutes. Herbert Hoover makes a speech in praise of Mr. Edison. Graham McNamee erroneously describes this as, "the first international broadcast." Albert Einstein speaks from Berlin (in German) The circuit from Germany is filled with static. The five note NBC chimes are heard. See also cat. #112021 for the audio of a sould film made that same day. Graham McNamee (announcer), Phillips Carlin (announcer), Thomas Edison, Herbert Hoover, Albert Einstein. 33:57

In 2010 I read news stories about a stash of recordings made on some obscure system called a "pallophotophone", recorded in the late 1920's, but apart from one very short clip nothing else was available to listen to.  I see Goldin has that one item listed, but one of the original articles made it clear there were also a bunch of other recordings.  Did any of the other recordings ever see the light of day?

I would love to complete my "Sealed Book" WAV/FLAC collection - I have them as mp3s but would love to have this series lossless... I've hesitated requesting before as it's 7 episodes - but now that I'm locked down, I need some small pleasures haha....

The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 25 Death Laughs Last
The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 26 You Only Die Once

these I have from Radio Spirits, but they overly denoised them - anybody have unprocessed versions?

The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 11 Ill Die Laughing
The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 12 Design for Death
The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 14 Broadway Here I Come
The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 15 Queen of the Cats
The Sealed Book 1945-xx-xx 16 Death Rings Down the Curtain

Here's Queen of The Cats, from a cassette. I don't know if it'll sound better than what you have.

Hi EggC, thank you - this version is way better - it has some hiss but it breathes! I really can't stand all this "cleaning", especially from vendors. Huge thanks :-)

Mine are all mp3 from various sources but some show the two above as you have them and other sources show the reverse, Death Laughs Last as the final show. Do you know which is correct? Thanks.
