I can't find an entry for 11th Feb, but WEAF ran the series for 17 weeks on Saturdays from 7th June 1941 to 27th Sept 1941.

Here's another obscure series. I have the first four shows, would like to have more. Anyone have more of them? Here's program 1 Death Calling, Case CC29 Canon City, Lazy Driver:

I've never heard of Death Calling. Listening to it I couldn't even guess what decade it was from!

This is a show discovered jointly my Greybelt & myself some years back. Joe found a recreation of an episode from the show & I found a real episode on youtube. It's no longer available on youtube, so here it is. It was posted originally on the old Cobalt Club site. Enjoy!

This must have been an audition show; there's no listing for it in any newspaper.

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
Speaking of auditions, there were a lot of interesting audition shows that maybe never were picked up as a series. I think Police Woman USA was one of them. This is not to be confused with the ABC series Policewoman in 1947. From June 22, 1950: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
The ART recreations were actually quite good. Recreations of established shows are often difficult for me to listen to, as I have preconceived notions about them.

You're welcome, bojim 1. I hope others will join in and post other auditions which didn't make it.

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
This is supposed to be an audition episode for a series that never made it.
Fantasy - Entity From The Void (Audition, 1947.08.03)
This version has an extra bit at the end (omitted from the version I checked out on youtube) which says what episode is on next week.

Action Eighty - Project Sailfish (Audition episode, CBS, 1952.03.26)
I don't know if the show was commissioned but I can't find any information about any other episodes.
Destination Space - Kruse (aka Dr Imaginus) (NBC, 1949.06.20)
I don't know if this is an audition episode but it's possible. It runs for 35 minutes which is a strange for a broadcast show. (Plus it's not running slow.) I can only find *ONE* mention of the show online - a txt file on archive.org - a garbled ocr'd document of an archive's holdings. Does anyone have any information about this show?

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
Do I need to create a Hightail account to hear the shows lasombra is posting? When I click on those links I get a message they are not available, but the postings are pretty recent. Ryan
Edit: Okay, I got this latest. I guess they do have relatively short expiration periods.

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
Remember, there are other places to post that have free accounts and no time limits that are not Dropbox (ugh): pcloud and sync
We're using sync on the Suspense thread after very spotty performance using hubiC
Both sync and pcloud allow you to add space to your account by getting others to sign up -- I'm maxed out on mine -- but perhaps some other Cobaltians can help each other get space. sync starts with 5GB and pcloud with 12gb and then I think you can push each to 20GB.

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
Operation Crossroads. May 28, 1946. CBS net. Sustaining. Ordinary citizens ask the experts about the atom bomb. Don't miss the opinions of Samuel Gold, an 85-year-old man who couldn't care less if an atomic bomb fell on him right now. The program originates from the Wilson Auditorium of the Library of Congress. A well-done documentary about the future of atomic energy, even if it means giving up some of our sovereignty. The program is announced as being broadcast internationally. Nelson Kenny (General), Harold Urey, Bryan McMann (Senator), Mrs. Wendell Willkie, Harold Ickes, Samuel Gould, Gerald Voorhees (Representative (California), George Karon (a crew member of the "Enola Gay"), Harold Stassen, William O. Douglas, Joseph E. Davies (former ambassador to the U.S.S.R.), Albert Einstein, Henry Wallace, Archibald MacLeish, Luther Evans (Librarian of Congress), Robert Lewis Shayon (preparer, producer). 1:00:45.
