Mary Foster, the Editor's Daughter
Any available besides the 8 episodes available on the Researchers Group and other sites? I know Radio Spirits weekly show runs other episodes about once a week?

I've got about 20 episodes. If anyone's interested in them, I can post them. If anyone has more, let's hear from you!

We mustn't forget the second spin off from the series, "Editor Foster, Mary's Daughter". It was not very successful, it ran for 10 week days on a Mutual outlet outside Omaha. It was replaced by another spin off called, "John's Other Wife's Other Husband" - a very confusing story line that was doomed from the start.
All sponsored by Sudsey-Dudsey Gentle Soap Flakes, sold in all local feed and seed stores in the convenient 30 lb box.

Welcome Back Rupert. I wondered where you were. We're still missin' a few folk's, but it's beginnin' to look like old times. Now, if we could get the chatter back up to a respectable level of disorder, this place could be a lot of fun.

Re: Mary Foster, the Editor's Daughter
Holy schnikes, I used to own stock in Sudsey-Dudsey Gentle Soap Flakes. But sadly the company went out of business when a printing error on a shipment claimed it was "Gentile Soup Flames," thus alienating the Hassidic community, claiming it was exclusivity in the worst way.
And anyway, who wanted to eat soup that was sold at grain elevators and feed and seed stores? For a short time the company tried to cover up the faux pas by suggesting the "soup" was high fibre, but that didn't work either. People thought "Soup Flames" would add to their heartburn.
Wow, Rupert. I thought I was the only one who knew about that. BTW: do you have any episodes of *The Romance of Helen Trenchmouth* or *One Man's Infirmary* that were out about the same time?
Jeff

Radio Spirits runs one of these a week, and has been for some time. Looks like there may be over 200 available. I do not belong to RS so do not get to hear the podcasts.

Re: Mary Foster, the Editor's Daughter
I actually found this page while searching for episodes of this show. There are actually over 1000 that exist. Radio Spirits is one of only two sources I've found with more than 20 episodes or so.
The fellow that was transferring them from disc passed away before the task was completed, but I believe that RS has them now, or will soon.

Re: Mary Foster, the Editor's Daughter
True. Most of them came from Jerry Austin. I believe that's the source for the episodes that RS has been using.mstevens90 wrote:According to Jay Hickerson there is a total of 1042 episodes
Also, I checked. There are no plans for them to be released in CD sets.

Re: Mary Foster, the Editor's Daughter
Chuck Shaden's site has about 80, some already listed here. I ended up buying the ones I didn't have at 39 cents a piece, proving once again, addiction can be expensive. LOL !

I've been buying those as well, but I didn't realize that was Chuck Shaden's site.

Re: Mary Foster, the Editor's Daughter
It is. Chuck is sharing many programs that do not appear to be available elsewhere and the price is overall, very reasonable. picked up some Ma Perkins I did not know existed as well as several news programs and two Paul Harvey's from the 1950's

I wonder if Jerry Austin had all the missing Hearts in Harmony episodes?

How many are there supposed to be, and are they from before the episodes we already have or after that storyline?
