Re: This Is Your FBI
This is getting ahead but I have noticed two different productions of an episode. The emphasis in language and timing is different and I found some differences in the words used.
* shows differences
50-01-06 Yesterday's Killer v. 1 length 28.43
2:26
Yes?
Is this the Wilson farm?
It is. Oh, are you Mr. Taylor?
Yes.
Oh, please come in.
*Thanks.
My uncle Bob is expecting you.
Here let me have your coat.
Alright.
That's quite a storm.
Yes, we get them out here.
Here you are.
I'll hang it up.
*Thank you.
Uncle Bob's in that room there.
*Oh fine.
You can go right in.
*THANK you.
50-01-06 v. 2 length 23.30
2:28

Re: This Is Your FBI
Nightkey --
We're not up to posting that date yet, but there are two versions, a network and a syndicated version. The syndication was definitely in the 1970s but may have been in the 1960s as well -- that's worth investigating. The syndicated shows have sometimes been mislabeled as AFRS shows with cut endings. They tend to be in really nice sound.
But you've certainly found something interesting -- perhaps the syndicated version was cut from a rehearsal or different takes for some reason. Now it's worth looking at some of the other network/syndication pairs.
These are the episodes for which I have syndicated versions
1950-01-06 249 Yesterday's Killers
1951-03-16 311 Hollywood Shakedown
1951-03-30 313 The Saboteurs
1951-08-10 332 The Adopted Thief
1951-09-28 339 The Harvest
1951-10-12 341 The Tropical Frame-Up
1951-11-23 347 The Flying Felon
1951-12-14 350 Crime for Sale
1952-01-04 353 The Toy Bandits
1952-01-11 354 The Protection Peddlers
1952-01-18 355 The Knock Out
1952-01-25 356 Fiesta Fugitives
1952-02-22 360 The Unwelcome Fugitive
1952-02-29 361 The Pay Off
1952-03-07 362 Skyway Man
1952-03-14 363 The Cross Country Fugitive
