This is one of those mixed feelings situations (you know the old joke - mixed feelings is seeing your mother-in-law drive off a cliff in your new Cadillac). There's a problem up front in the recording and then it's in really nice sound after that. That sound is so superior that this is an upgrade.

This is interesting... Cary Grant was originally cast as the lead for House in Cypress Canyon. This is from the Hagerstown, MD paper of that day.



If you're wondering how a series that started in 1942 could have a third anniversary in 1946, they're referring to the third anniversary of the Roma Wines sponsorship which started in December 1943.

One of the trivial items that came up yesterday about Cary Grant: Suspense had only two sponsors in its run, Roma and Auto-Lite, and Cary Grant was in the first episodes of each of them. Unfortunately, the first Auto-Lite show does not exist in circulation. Was having Grant do the first show considered good luck?
