Saints preserve us! In so many ways, the series is awful... but somehow it's endearing and enjoyable. Perhaps it's the innocence of it all that entraps us. And then, there's the dialogue, which constantly repeats names and situations in case you tuned in late or just found it as you switched between channels. It all works in a very mysterious way to become one of the era's beloved series. I get a kick out of it, too!
