The Navy Swings

The Navy Swings is another of the military recruiting programs that once routinely filled the airwaves.  Their history has gone largely unexplored.  I seem to have developed a recent fondness for delving into this particular genre.  I even wrote about them in a Radiogram column a couple years back.  The programs were usually sports or music related in nature.  Some fine Jazz music contained in these "Navy Swings" shows.  I have twenty of these broadcasts; the original number would have run into the hundreds.
