Re: The Cobalt Club Screening Room
Oh, I'm in the mood today. How about a Laurel & Hardy mini marathon? Blame Jeff, he got me started a few days ago.

And a very special extra. Because I'm trying to ease Jeff into the silent era. This film has some off the most iconic scenes from the silent comedy era.
Safety Last (1923)
Starring Harold Lloyd.

Oh, Dude, I've been in the silent era for years, ever since I retired from teaching. I just have been catching up on my Pre-Code Happiness.

EXCELLENT!!! Then I won't have to bombard you with Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Clara Bow and the rest of the wonders from this era. Of course the run time on many of the epics from this period, make me think that Kevin Costner may have time warped back to this aforementioned era.

Re: The Cobalt Club Screening Room
Just one feature for today. Mostly, because I doubt anyone will wanna watch a second feature after this stinker. In my mind, worse than Plan 9 From Outer Space. The special effects, acting, dubbing and action choreography are... well, let's just call em' "Special". I'll try to add more tomorrow. But right now, I just feel so "dirty".
Invaders from Space (1965)
A bunch of pernicious salamander men from the planet Kulimon in the Moffit Galaxy plan on taking over Earth by unleashing a lethal plague on mankind. It's up to valiant superhero Starman from the Emerald Planet to save the human race before it's too late.
Starring Ken Utsui as Starman.

What's it gonna be today? I think classic westerns fit the bill.
When The Daltons Rode (1940)
Starring Randolph Scott and Kay Francis.

And just to prove that my tastes are a bit eclectic, a not western.
Nightmare Alley (1947)
Starring Tyrone Power and Joan Blondell.
The rise and fall of Stanton Carlisle, a mentalist whose lies and deceit prove to be his downfall.

Re: The Cobalt Club Screening Room
Well folks, it's the day after Thanksgiving and the beginning of the Christmas season. So, how about some leftover turkey to start the holiday season? And this is some of the most embarrassing turkey ever served. Most of those involved still wish this foul fowl would just disappear into oblivion. But here I am to serve it up to all of you.
The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)
Starring: Many who prefer to remain nameless. But it's basically the entire original blockbuster cast. Plus many more miscast individuals who were major names in television at the time.
