This is a network version of an episode that we had only as AFRTS. That disc recording was posted earlier. Completists throughout all of Cobaltia are cheering!

Re: Suspense Upgrades
THANKS T-I-O -- much appreciated! There are so many people who have pitched in to this effort over the years. The real thanks go to them for their joining and rallying around the cause when they didn't have to.
One more day of Suspense after this, then a very brief "rest" as we will jump over to The Whistler for about a week, and then right back to Suspense for three weeks. Not sure what will be after that yet (that's not true -- I know perfectly well what's next -- it's actually my favorite series). I have a lot of Suspense organizing to do and a lot of material for an updated version of the book that I need to get done. In June I will be making a trip to the Thousand Oaks Library where the bulk of the Suspense scripts are... and will likely have lots of interesting things to report.
These are network recordings -- there is an AFRTS version of this listed in some catalogs that I have yet to find... for years... anyone have an old collection where it might be lurking?

Sorry for the misspelling of Connie Lembcke's name in the file name. One of my jobs this year is to get the collection re-named and create a new baseline set.
This script was also performed on Creeps by Night on June 6, 1944 (there are some listings of it as March 7) as The Strange Burial of Alexander Jordan.

The author of this script had an interesting career [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
and he was profiled as "A Writer at Work" on CBS Radio Workshop

Re: Suspense Upgrades
This is the last Suspense post for about two weeks. Head over to The Whistler starting tomorrow where there will be posts of rebroadcasts of the series. I've been trying to find these recordings for parts of four decades, and finally did.
Today's Suspense offering is third to last of the series run. I knew that the reel collection I digitized could be something special when I ran into this. This was one of those late series programs that just defied upgrading. It showed that if you got into a good reel collection of someone who traded with early collectors you might find some of these in better sound. The late series (1957 forward, but especially 1959 to the end) relied on home recordings for their survival. There are not many AFRTS episodes after 1959 that could serve as sound upgrades. This turned out well.

Some really nifty stuff will be posted once I'm done with the Whistler hiatus.
