Digitized The Hermit's Cave episode "Hanson's Ghost" from the Radiola LP because the mp3 I have sounded terrible. My record is in great shape but there was still a ton of clicks and pops so I tried to cut them down. Here's the cleaned up MP3, along with the unprocessed FLAC. Enjoy!

Thanks again to everyone for the shares. I'm going to have to catch up from the 12th onwards now. Last week was somewhat scattered for me as a good friend passed away on Friday morning. I'm glad I leave in a week for two weeks in Mazatlan but I'll have mixed feelings about it if I miss the funeral. He's at peace now but I will miss him.

Hey lasombra, sorry, I do not have epi425. there are only a few more episode numbers in the 400 range, then they jump up into the 1100 range. Perhaps someone else might have them. We can always hope.

No I don't. This encode came with that date attached so I left it on there. The show was syndicated by The World Broadcasting System so the dates are debatable. The usual logs available on the Internet (Jerry Haendiges, Radiogoldindex, OTRR) all just say 1936-37 so I don't know how this date was determined unless they have the transcription disk. Even then if there was a date on the disk it would most likely be the date the disk was played on air.

Another thought is that the date on the episode I posted could have come from someone researching newspaper radio logs to find the earliest listing of when it was broadcast and decided to use those dates.

I know I'm late, but it was raining this morning. The first rain of our season. Those of you that live where it rains all year long, it's no big deal. Here in Southern California our normal first rain occurs in mid November (right on time) and our last rain in mid February. Last season it rained until late May. That was a good year for us.
