I loved the tattoo joke Tom. I think I'll use it myself. Fortunately, I only have one of my daughters who has one and it is very small above the ankle. She actually listened to me when I talked about the perils of tattoos and how we mysteriously stretch when we get older.

Big Town is one that I have never heard until it was posted here. Thanks Bobby P.

It's Higgins Sir was another one that was new to me Tom. I'm not sue how the rest of the series is but the first episode was pretty funny. I'd love to hear more.

By a weird coincidence, the Boston Blackie episode posted a couple of days ago was one that I had listened to the day before. I have been enjoying the series as I fall asleep at night. I'm not sue why but something about it appeals to me.

Thanks again for all the shares. Sad to see the end of Poll Parrot. It was another one that appealed to my juvenile nature.

Wow thanks for this, never heard of it - but it has one of my faves, John Gibson, in there. I could find no info on this series other than a small blurb saying that no data resulted when hundreds of readers of an OTR website were asked about details on the series. (Well, now we have one, John Gibson). It says there are 2 extant episodes - does anyone have the other?

Just so you know that I actually listen to these Tom, I should mention that after you posted about the Poll Parrot ending "tomorrow", you never actually posted it (or I am blinder than usual). Episode 13 is still not to be seen. Of course, this could be because (tomorrow never comes".

Until I listened to the last Sky King, I had no idea that it was also done in a serialized form. I just thought it was a kid's western. With no more Poll Parrot, I'd love to hear more if you have them.

Thanks again to everyone sharing here.

I want to add my thanks for the Detective Dalt shows as well. I'd never heard of it either and wish there were more. Seems like a fun show. Like dbf, I also like John Gibson. One of those voices that is almost instantly recognizable.

It was ages before I realised he was the same guy who did Barney Dunlap on Speed Gibson, but kind of changed his style to the more nerdy sound on shows like Casey and Dimension X/X-1 shows. But now I hear him all over the places on those 30s shows as well.

I agree completely Tom. I really hope this didn't come across as a complaint. It was just odd and I thought it had slipped through the cracks so I figured I should mention it. Tom has been incredibly generous here and I have heard many new shows because of this generosity.

Another big bear was on our porch last night. I don't know how he did it, but he opened the gate at the far end of our covered porch. They are very smart when they are after food.

I must be getting old. Today, I found a single grey pubic hair. I didn't get too excited but the people in the elevator sure did.

Here is another "Big Town" that isn't in general circulation:

Big Town. November 09, 1937. Program #4. CBS net. Rinso. Steve Wilson takes on the bad guys who are installing slot machine in Big Town. They're crooked slot machines at that! It's not hard to recognize the idea behind this plot. It was just 3 years earlier that Mayor Fiorello La Guardia began his campaign against slot machines in New York City. After only four weeks on the air, "Radio Guide" magazine awards the program, and Edward G. Robinson a "medal of merit" for, "program excellence." Perhaps Steve Wilson should have investigated the rapidity with which this award was made!. Edward G. Robinson, Claire Trevor, Carlton KaDell (announcer), Gale Gordon, Evans Plummer (Associate Editor of "Radio Guide"). 29:48.
