Re: Radio Scripts
Done. I felt that it should be a sticky, because it probably won't get a huge number of additions in the short term. But being visible at the top, it may draw more additions from others who may have copies of OTR scripts. They're pretty uncommon and it'd be great if we could gather as many as possible in one location.

This is a rare one. There are only three extant recordings of the series available. This script is one of the missing episodes. It was fourth in the series and from a time when the plays were, however loosely, based on incidents taken from Basil Rathbone's life. I reference the script in an article about the series I recently completed for Radiogram for publication sometime in the coming year.

This script is an interesting one and was episode three of a five episode series called Day of Reckoning. The series was broadcast on NBC in cooperation with the Council for Democracy. It is a series I have been recently researching; it imagines five key war criminals each suddenly brought to judgment. This script calls to account the French collaborationist Pierre Laval. All five scripts for the series can be found here as part of the American Jewish Committee Archives:

Both my script and the online script are first revisions. However, the copy in my collection is heavily marked with designated broadcast changes while the AJC script lacks such changes.

This 1955 series had a short run but is primarily noteworthy for its narrator, Walter Gibson.

pnussbaum, checked the link and seems to be working. I was able to download the file with no problem. D/L count shows it has been downloaded 6 times so far. To be safe, I have uploaded the file here as well; this is a direct download:

Let me know if there is a further problem.

Just Posted: Dragnet. 1949-06-03
This is actually a scan of a photocopy of the first Dragnet radio episode. For a time, back in the 1990's, Pat Lucanio and I were contributing occasional articles to Filmfax Magazine. In 1993, the magazine published our two-part series on the history of Dragnet on radio and television. We had a researcher do a bit of legwork for us. One of the items he came up with was a photocopy of the premiere script. Recently, while reviewing my files I rediscovered this copy. Last I checked, no recording of this first episode has yet surfaced. But I can, at least, offer a copy of the script here:

This is an interesting bit of history. In 1944, the school children of Illinois raised funds to purchase an original handwritten copy of the Gettysburg Address for the Illinois State Historical Library. Known as the Everett copy, the students raised $60,000. This broadcast, set against the backdrop of WWII, features the presentation ceremony of the copy to the library.

I'm afraid I've been a bit remiss lately posting in this thread. So here is a newly uploaded script:
Treasury Star Parade. 1942-06-13. Record #60. This particular script features Edward G. Robinson and Dinah Shore.
