Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
I really enjoyed the first episode of Latitude Zero. A bit Capt. Nemo but good. I am hoping somewhere someone has the rest of the episodes. I know they made a Japanese movie in the late 60's based on this story quite the cult classic.

I really enjoyed the show too, but that's actually the only episode that seems to "exist" unless there are more hiding in someone's collection somewhere. I was always under the impression that it was an audition show and was the only episode made, but of course it could have been the first episode/audition with more that followed. I can't find any information about the series other than mentions of that episode, though. I didn't realise the story was later adapted (or stolen?) in a film...

Supreme Court Revision Plan – March 23 and 29, 1937 – FDR Library – Gordon Skene Sound Collection –
In February 1937 President Roosevelt unveiled a bill to increase the number of Justices on the Supreme Court, from 9 to 15. Critics immediately denounced the idea as Court-Packing; a scheme to pack the court with FDR appointees in order to insure his New Deal legislation would pass judicial hurdles.
But in March, and all the way up to the bill being voted on in Congress, debate raged over the airwaves and many points of view, pro and con, were aired and talked about. Here are two such addresses regarding the Bill, as heard in March 23rd and 29th of 1937.

News from June 13, 1940
The news was bleak for France on this day. The government had already been moved to Tours. The invading German armies outnumbered the French forces 3 to 1 and were succeeding on all fronts to break French resistance.
Earlier in the day, it was announced the French Army was not going to defend Paris itself. Word was relayed at the last moment that Paris was to be spared as the streets filled with retreating French troops heading south. The city would be empty, but not surrendered. So far, the German Army claimed some 100,000 French Army prisoners.

Re: Miscellaneous Drawer
Thanks lasombra. I've got a bunch of auditions and obscure series. I don't have a specific list of them, just part of my main list. Let me know if you want any of them.
