Just sitting here waiting for the hospital to call and let me know when I can pick Carolyn up. I'm fairly certain they will release her today. Someone asked why I can't see her. It's because of the virus restrictions.

Anyway as long as I'm waiting, here's the post for today. No jokes today.

Just catching up here Tom and saw the news about your wife. So sorry to hear this. Broken ribs are painful and as you say, we don't heal as fast as we used to, but at least it was nothing worse and she will hopefully be back to normal soon.

Don't forget to take care of yourself too. We sometimes forget when we are worried about loved ones.

I can and can't imagine how frustrating your situation is. I'm afraid that if I were in the same situation, I'd probably get arrested for trying to get into that hospital. Don't worry about posting here, unless it's what you want to do.

Having talked to her on the phone, you know intellectually that things are probably going the way you want them to go. But that does absolutely nothing for the heart. You need that physical assurance. Have you asked the hospital if you can send her a cell phone and charger? Then you'd be able to at least video chat with her and you could talk face to face. I have no doubt that the ability to at least see each others faces, would lift both your spirits immensely.

I'm truly sorry for what you're both going through. And offer my prayers and hopes for a successful and speedy recovery. And please keep us in the loop if you will.

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I brought her home from the hospital yesterday. She is in much more pain than she told me over the phone. Five fractured ribs on the right side and one on the left with a broken Clavicle on the left side. Bruises all over. It appears that the injuries were caused by the seat belt, which is a lot better than before we had seat belts. Doctors say it will take 2-4 months to heal completely.

At least she's home and safe now Praise GOD.

I'm so happy that she's home. Hopes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery are still coming your way. And let her know that a bunch of people she'll probably never meet are pulling for her.

Thanks for the LGDI upgrades otrhead. They are much better than what I have and I always liked that show.

Same to you Tom for the constant stream of shares. The 1932 Chandu has been very interesting. I had no idea it even existed still. It's been fun comparing the plot changes and characters. Bob still sounds too old to me in this version though.

I also appreciate the Morse upgrades. Way better sound than what I have. I know the plots well from frequent listening but I'm picking up much more background detail. Please continue with these if you have more.

I don't know if you have any but if I haven't mentioned it before, Hop Harrigan might be fun since we out of Jimmy Allen and Captain Midnight. I'm not sure why the aircraft shows appeal to me so much other than I actually learn things from most of them.

Thanks again to all and stay safe and healthy.

toebig -- so glad she's home!
hope your cooking is better than hospital food! Smile

Mrs W had an encouraging follow-up on her eye surgery from Feb -- still many many many months to go, but all proceeding normally

As for clavicle (Fibber always said that and it sounded funny) and ribs -- it takes time -- and it always hurts to move -- so be on your best behavior -- don't make us come out there to keep you in line!
