Re: Sharing Shows from my collection
Since this seems to be one of Cobalt's most visited places, I'm posting these and asking for some assistance...
I've been transferring reels from an old collection and came across these two AFRS Alan Young Show programs. They do not appear to be circulating. I'm trying to determine the dates. One of the shows opens with Alan getting ready for the opera that night, but it is a different plotline than the opera-related episode that is already in circulation. Newspaper listings have not been particularly helpful here, but someone may get luckier in that they may have a different source. My guess is that these are from 1946 or thereabouts. Insights greatly appreciated -- enjoy!!

This AFRS Broadway Bandbox show with Sinatra was also in the batch. I'm trying to figure out what network series this came from. Could this be a Light-Up Time program, and if so, what date would it have been?

This one is dated November 21, 1944. The newspaper description that day said, "Alan Young reverts to the medieval and relives career of his armor-laden ancestor."

Re: Sharing Shows from my collection
Thanks for the Steve Canyon (and the continuing Captain Midnight and Blue Beetle) Tom. Too bad it was only a pilot. It sounded like it might have been fun to listen too if there had been more. The Batman was interesting too but the story sounded like a Sherlock Holmes story I had read, seen, or heard before. I can see why it wasn't picked up. Batman and Robin in the Superman episodes were much better.
We really need a time machine like in some of the science fiction stories so we can go back and get some of these series completed. It's so sad that so much is lost.

This joke will gross some of you out. ENJOY the OTR.
A woman walks into a bar with a five pound chihuahua and sits down next to a guy whom she notices is feeling a little queasy. A few minutes go by and the guy blows his chunks. He looks down and sees the little dog struggling in a pool of vomit and says "Whoa, I don't remember eating That."
