Have a great week end and stay safe.

Why do people in Athens hate getting up early?
Because Dawn is tough on Greece!
For our friends not in the states, Dawn is a dishwashing detergent.

The bear had his fill of our trash last night.

Funny signs outside churches
1) Free Trip to heaven. Details Inside!
2) Try our Sundays. They are better than Baskin-Robbins.
3) Searching for a new look? Have your faith lifted here!
4) An ad for a Church has a picture of two hands holding stone tablets on which the Ten Commandments are inscribed and a headline that reads, "For fast, fast, fast relief, take two tablets.
5) When the restaurant next to the Church put out a big sign that said, "Open Sundays," the church reciprocated with its own message: "We are open on Sundays, too."
6) Have trouble sleeping? We have sermons -- come hear one!
7) Come in and pray today. Beat the Christmas rush!
Cool Sign broken. Message inside this Sunday.
9) Come work for the Lord. The work is hard, the hours are long and the pay is low. But the retirement benefits are out of this world.
10) If you're headed in the wrong direction, God allows U-turns.

Off to Bakersfield today and it's not a doctor's appointment, just a shopping trip for Carolyn. She still will not drive the canyon since her accident.

Physical therapy again in a couple of hours, not looking forward to it.

Sorry I'm late today. Carolyn and I were working on our church Operation Christmas Child ministry. She was decorating head bands for the girls and I was listening to OTR while I sharpened pencils. I've sharpened 7,000 so far, only 8,000 more to go. Our church goal this year is 1500 boxes (10 pencils per box, plus crayons, colored pencils, rulers, sharpeners, erasers, combs, bar soap and of course toys and T-Shirts). In some third world countries children cannot attend school unless they have their own supplies.

We've also just been told by the State of California that we can no longer meet for church services. Bummer, just when we were getting back to meeting every Sunday. Oh well, back to on-line services.

Yesterday I spotted an albino dalmatian, it was the least I could do for him.

Big bear on our porch last night eating the dry cat food Carolyn puts out for the feral cats.

I ended up going for a run today. I didn't plan on going for a run but the ice cream truck didn't stop.

I think I prefer to see the bears from a car rather than on my porch. I spotted a blonde grizzly with three, two year old cubs ten days ago running across the road. This one is untagged but there's another tagged one with two cubs south of that spot. I'd never seen one before and sadly couldn't get a picture before they went into the trees.

I've never heard that show before and I sure have to agree about it being non-politically correct. What a difference 70 years makes in our outlook. The joke about the congressmen taking forever to pass anything still seems accurate though. 😉

The SatNav even warns you when there's a bear with comments like "bear left". It must've been faulty though because I looked and I couldn't see it.
