The Screening Room has been collecting cobwebs for over five years, so it's time to open 'er back up.

Toward that end, I am imploring Cobaltians of all nations to assist in finding an apparently Ultra-Rare and Hard To Find 1940 British film starring the gorgeous Sally Gray.  Can you folks help me track down a copy of *Olympic Honeymoon* (1940) aka *Honeymoon Merry-Go-Round*?

I've been amassing a collection of Sally Gray's work (some of it really fine stuff, Maynard) but this one eludes me at every pass.]

Oh man, Space, you must have been monitoring my brain waves again. Because I found this, arguably the WORST and therefore most memorable Bad Movie in the annals (spelled with TWO n's) of Cheese Factory Favorites.

Not only is it an infamous Ed Wood movie, but it wasn't released for twenty-three years after it was in the can (whether that was the metal reel can or another, smaller room of the house is debatable).
Anyway, as Little Jack Little said, "here 'tis."

Folks, let me know what works and what doesn't. I promise I'll do my best, to avoid turning the thread into a total shrine to cheesy goodness. And if you'd like to add anything of your own choosing, feel free. This ain't my thread. It's ours.

You're welcome Chad. I'll try to balance my offerings between better and lesser known movies.

Boss, I need no temptation here. I'm trying to be good and not fling cheese all over the walls. But yes, the cheese is sure to work it's way in regardless. Because I am, if nothing else, a cheese whiz.

And Now a Special Feature!

This movie has an amazing cast and is a personal favorite. Not a great movie. Just great fun.

Secondhand Lions - 2003

Starring: Haley Joel Osmet, Robert Duvall and Michael Caine.

Fourteen-year-old Walter Caldwell's irresponsible mother Mae sends him to live with his bachelor uncles, Hub and Garth, so that she can go on yet another husband-hunting trip.

OK, that's IMDB's description. But this movie wanders back and forth between screwball comedy and fractured fairy tale. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Space-Dude, you are the master, so I wouldn't dare to impose my views on you, but this is really fun. And my backlog of noir is ever-expanding, so take this, Seamus:

It ain't Bogart or even Dick Powell, but it's in my mind leagues better than the British remake of *The Big Sleep* Mitchum did three years before. Enjoy.

Master? More of a quirky eclectic. YouTube is a great source for classic movie fans. It kinda makes up for not being able to watch TCM. I refuse to pay for cable or the streaming equivalent. And they no longer offer a standalone app. Oh well. YouTube helps quite a bit. Not to mention my disk and digital collection.

And I'm still feeling the need for CHEESE!

This movie falls under noir and also firmly in cheesy. But an enjoyable sequel to Fred Wards brilliant Cast a Deadly Spell. H. Phil Lovecraft the shamus who won't use magic. Dennis Hooper replaced Fred in this outing the cast in both movies was stellar.

And my last share of the day is a movie that tried to cash in on the Starwars phenomenon but failed slipping firmly into a large wheel of stinky blue cheese. But an enjoyable romp. With Rudy Jordache himself Peter Strauss as Hans Solo I mean Wolff and Pretty in Pink Molly Ringwald sans Ducky playing the plucky gal friday.

When I was in college, a bunch of us settled into a local theater house to wile away four hours of bizarro mayhem known as *Movie Orgy*. It was a compilation of clips from various 1950s sources--high school hygiene films, rotten movies, cartoons, commercials, and anything that would stick to celluloid.

This is the uncut version of one of the films *Movie Orgy* reveled in: Brett Halsey's immortal portrayal as Nick "Don't crowd me, Joe" Barrow, a punk whose chip on his shoulder has melded with his head so there's no discernible difference.  But as the tagline says,  "From juke joint to drag strip, it's the livin' end!"

I offer you one of the top three Guilty Pleasures in my treasury:SPEED CRAZY!

Everybody's always crowding me. . . . oh, and here's the trailer. . .

And to me it wouldn't be summer or spring without a taste of cheesy spy movies. This one isn't your father's Bulldog Drummond, but who cares? It's got Elke Sommer. And some of the best non-Bond 60s spy music you could ever hope for. . . .

I give you. . . DEADLIER THAN THE MALE (1967)

It'll curl your teeth.
