True story (not new years related). While on one of my backpacking trips we ran into an old indian (he may have been 50, at the time that was old to me lol). We were sitting around the campfire telling stories. I've always remembered this one. I can do better than that Tom. Here's some odd dates and coincidences for you. (nothing to do with OTR though)

Jan 1, 2020 is also the date of the 40th anniversary of my owing my store. (20+20=40)
We started the year with a bang having four major media outlets do interviews and stories about us. MSN front page (the CBC News article), CTV television, Global television, and CBC radio. I was stunned since we are a game store and have never had publicity like this before.

Dec 27th, 4 days before the anniversary, I realized that in one day on the 26th (Boxing Day), we had sold 40% of what I had sold during my first year in business, 40 years ago.

July 1, 2017 (Canada's 150th birthday), I had the store exactly 37 1/2 years which meant that on that day, I had owned it 25% of the time we have been a country.

Jan 1, 2000 was the 20th anniversary so we started the new millennium off with a bang.

I'm sure there's more funny dates but I can't really think of them right now.

They miss the whole historical gaming area that might be of interest to Tom, since we have lots of books in it.

Thanks. To bring it back to OTR, one of the things I love to do is show people some of the shows they can get on the phone to introduce them to the hobby. Sometimes it's for them and sometimes, it's for their parents who are losing their sight, mobility or are just tired of all the bad news they see on TV.

It is easy because we have so many long time customers now.

Almost one week into the new year. Any good things you want to share with the group?

My New Years resolution is to stop putting my foot in my mouth. I bet yours is to lose weight huh.
