This white wolf wasn't in my back yard like Tom's bears were but I'd never seen a white one before. The picture was taken about 40 miles from my place just in the mountains. It was like he was standing there posing and was certainly friendlier looking that those depicted on Challenge of the Yukon.

We never get boring weather in Calgary. Today is 29C (about 84.5F) and Monday the low is -3C (about 27F). These boys and girls will be thinking about nothing but food for the next few months as they get ready for winter. I've never seen 3 grizzly cubs hang around with mom so long but I know mom can still produce milk for them that late in the season. They must be three years old, usually, they leave at the end of the second year when mom chases them off. I think these three are way too big for her to do that.

Those pictures of campers around our lake and up the river were actual pictures taken this weekend. The kicker is, the national forest was closed due to fires. Everyone of them were violating the closure order.

I know this is off topic, I just couldn't resist showing how people are not only violating the forest closure but the covid 19 guidelines. Go figure.
