Thank you lasombra and Tom, yes, It definitely has been adventurous. Sometimes life can be very challenging as we all know. My wife has been Ill for the last few years , so, It has made life very busy. I am pretty much the "go to" guy for everything. She is doing better than she was earlier this year. We had a couple of scary situations back then.

A different encode of the Bedtime Stories show was posted around May or June with a supposed air date of March 10 1946. I am not sure about date which probably comes from radiogoldindex. I don't see any listing in the newspapers for that date and I think it started in the fall of 1946 and aired on Wednesdays. March 10 was a Sunday.

The show is "Bedtime Story" as listed in the newspapers. The title of this episode is The Cat's Paw, not Claw. This encode is better than the earlier one. It probably is a 1946 broadcast.

This one is from July 23, 1949.

From The Miami News of that date: "The cowboy singer heard in "Dixie Cannonball," "Ages and Ages Ago" and "You Belong to My Heart," which were all heard on this show.

There has been much progress on a Theater Five log these past weeks. Just look at this draft log... and how Ed Byron (developer of the Mr. DA franchise), Lee Bowman (actor turned executive producer of T5), and Warren Somerville (long-time ABC staff producer and director) gathered so many radio pros and attracted so many 1950s TV scripters and actors and theatrical performers before the microphones... The log is one of the most detailed I've been involved in.

Please limit the distribution of the log -- it is a draft -- It will be made free to everyone when it is completed.

T5 has come to attention because of the many reel collections that are now being digitized... and a chance to improve the sound quality of the series. Because it is a post-golden age program, it does not fit into Cobalt's mission and guidelines about not posting post-1962 recordings (I have no disagreement with that). If you have interest in being involved in a T5 project evaluating audio and verifying data, please private message me.

One of the actors and scripters of T5 was Frank Thomas, aka kid actor Frankie Thomas aka the lead actor in TV's Tom Corbett, Space Cadet.

Cobaltians nickp57 and chasedad have helped with the formulation of the log. It's been a marvelous project, even just to hunt down spellings of names!
