Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Does anyone have Tales of Tomorrow in better sound than what's in the OTRR library?

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
I have fallen in love with an old serial called Nemesis, Inc. - but I only have the first 6 episodes and there is no evidence of more online. Does anyone possibly have any more? Or know if any more were even made?

lasombra -- I think they got those ToT episodes from me and I have been trying to replace them for 15 years with no success

Jerry at vintageradioprograms has 6 episodes in his listings....he usually has the highest quality available, so it might be worth inquiring with him. It does cost, but I'd actually be willing to split the costs (or maybe others would join in as well) if it turns out they're first-generation copies.

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
I think a couple of the ToT recordings were airchecks made using a wire recorder, so true first generation copies originating with the network may not exist -- but it is worth the risk.
My copies are in a zip file at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] -- the link expires in a few days

Those are better than the commonly available ones - although the commonly available ones seem to be derived from these rips but someone has raised the volume and caused clipping. Why do people do this??
Well, I say they're better - they're still atrocious but that'll be because they'll be from many many generations of tape. Hopefully there's better, lower generations, somewhere!

Here are my 2 ToT Scripts -- I got them from producer Warren Somerville in 1977

Oh boy, a new Tales of Tomorrow.
BTW, Tales of Tomorrow started on television. It was on ABC-TV in 1951-52.

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Thanks! It's a surprise that another Tales From Tomorrow shows up after so long. Interestingly it's in the same strange quality as the other episodes, although generationally better and more listenable.

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
This is a slightly different request....I am unable to conveniently obtain the ILAM scripts from SPERDVAC due to living overseas....I would like very much to read those stories and wondering if someone has the collection and might be willing to share privately ... if not, I suppose I will have to spend 2 weeks at the Library of Congress sometime ...hope someone can help - thanks!

While I'm thinking about Witch's Tale, Has Anyone got an upgrade of the Star Spangled Theatre version of The Witch's Tale - The Gipsys Hand that's better than the 32kbps mp3? (not just a re-encode!)

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Here's Tales Of Tomorrow. Rather than use a filehost that only keeps the files for one week I'd recommend mega.nz or Mediafire. They'll keep the files until the server no longer exists or until the Sun goes supernova, whichever comes first.

You shouldn't need to pay for any of the extraction programs, just ignore the 'nag screen'.
If you don't have such a program already, 7-zip is free and opens anything.
