Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Does anyone have the Adventure Is Your Heritage series? Goldin lists 19 shows. OTRR library has one show, listed twice, in bad sound. Sounds like an interesting series.

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Thanks, I've never heard of this show.
...and "The Invisible Century" (on the otrr page and everywhere else) should of course be "The Invisible Sentry".

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Folks,
I am looking for shows about magic. I have Blackstone and Chandu. Any others? I would really like shows that have real Magicians in them like news or variety. Houdini or anything of the sort. Of course listening to a magic trick is pointless but anything would be welcome.
Thanks

Those are the same show, Bobby. Actually I now have that show with three different dates. You might find this 2-4-54 version interesting. This is how it was aired in Germany, with radio's version of subtitles! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

You're right, they're both 54-02-04. Does anyone have the 53-01-15 show?

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Are there any encodes of Ghost Corps higher than 32kbps?
Also... I discovered that the 1938 dates (from the LA Times) assigned to it by some people are from a repeat airing and not the original airdates. I was looking in Trove again (the Australian newspapers site) and discovered the US version was aired in Australia. The earliest listing I found was 1935.08.05, so the US airing has to be earlier not later than that date.
"The Knives Of El Melik" is confirmed as the first serial, and with that spelling, and then "The Prayer Rug Of Nana Sahib" as the second serial, with many more episodes aired after that but no titles are given for the others. We're also given the information - "Written by Rob Thompson, famous American writer, ex-officer of the French Legion of Honour and a former member of the U.S.A. Diplomatic Corps. It is presented by a strong Hollywood cast."

Re: Old Time Radio Show Requests
Thanks.
And I have to correct myself here...
On closer inspection, after that particular airing of the two serials the subsequent airings are on a different station at a different time, and so are likely to be repeats of those two serials rather than other different episodes as I'd hoped..

looding for:
The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show. January 8, 1945. Program #64. CBS net origination, AFRS rebroadcast. Guest Shirley Temple is trying for a part in a movie that requires an older man to co-star. That sounds right up George's alley! Gracie presents Shirley with an award from Junior Critics of the National Board of Review. George Burns, Gracie Allen, Shirley Temple, The Swantet, Felix Mills and His Orchestra, Harry Von Zell, Howard Duff (AFRS announcer). 29:33
