And that, as they say, is that. This is all I have.
On May 2, 1948 the Hour Of Charm girls broadcast their last show.
I do not know why specifically the broadcasts stopped because they were still extremely popular and in fact they continued performing across the country at concerts and on the stage until well into the 1950s.
I think their music, especially during their war years heyday, was stirring, emotional and heartfelt. Wish I could find more of their shows.
If you come across any down the road, please post them here.
