Christmas Reunion. December 25, 1943. NBC net. Sustaining. The program opens with a chorus singing, "Joy To The World," from London. Soldiers at the Red Cross Club (Picadilly Circus) tell how they plan to spend the day. A remote from Bethleham, then Fairbanks, Alaska, then Miami. Amos 'n' Andy appear with Jose Iturbi from Hollywood. They do a very similar routine that was done by the three on "Command Performance" on June 5, 1943 (see cat. #86657) and on "The Amos 'n' Andy Show" on October 15, 1943 (see cat. #57305). Emma Van Kutrin (?) speaks to several of her 10 children who are in the service. Chinese soldiers are heard singing from California. A wounded soldier speaks from Halloran Hospital. Christmas carols from the Cathedral of St. John The Divine, New York City. Other remotes from Chun King, Bethlehem (again), San Juan, Guadalcanal and Algiers (at the same time!), Italy, Chattanooga, Hawaii, Washington, St. Louis, San Pedro, Kansas City, San Diego, Iceland and Staten Island. The program must have been a tremendous undertaking, with remotes from around the world. There were several missed cues as Robert St. John patiently read introductions over until the remote broadcast began. St. John also seemed to repeat segment introductions. Robert St. John (m.c.), Gwen Widdingham (London), Bud Foster (Fairbanks), Freeman Gosden, Charles Correll, Jose Iturbi (Hollywood), Andre Baruch (Algiers), Dick Bruner (Algiers), Harwood Hull Jr. (?
