It certainly SOUNDS legit. I don't know how to establish the date's accuracy with any certainty; I don't see any specific documentation anywhere beyond the YouTube page. THIS link to a book about early New York radio a) substantiates that Edison had this capability (to record up to 90 minutes) as of early 1928 but b) does NOT include 1120kc as one of the frequencies employed... but that may well be either an oversight or an announcer flub.

I had a devil of a time downloading and extracting the audio; so many of the YouTube converters have gone down or are loaded with malware... this probably should not have been treated to a FLAC encode but it's where I ended up. Thanks for calling attention to it:

A Little Bit of Everything. September 11, 1928. WAAM, Newark, New Jersey. The Williams Candy Company. A program recorded at the Thomas Edison Studios, Columbia Street Studio, West Orange, New Jersey. This experiment in pre-recorded radio programing may or may not have ever been broadcast. The program starts with a radio copywriter and a fellow worker trying to come up with a program idea for a candy account. They decide to do a variety show called, "A Little Bit of Everything." The second tune is, "That Sunny, Happy Isle." Some of the music sounds recorded. Don't miss the tenor singing, "The Sweetheart of Sigma Chi," to steel guitar and guitar accompaniment. Frustratingly, everyone on the show is identified only by their first names. A great version of, "Banjoreeno" is only one of the very talented jazz and blues solos. 58:58.
