Not sure where mine came from - yours does appear to be the correct date. I wonder if I got mine off the record jacket, which is decades out of date in terms of OTR research.

Now that Lasombra has posted a Gunsmoke -- that brings up an idea -- the John Hickman 5-hr Gunsmoke special from 1976 might be a grand way to introduce people to OTR -- you get to know the actors, the techniques, the writers... there are full shows played in it and lots of excerpts and interviews. I had never thought of it as an introductory step, but it could be one.

I think that one of my favourites is I Love a Mystery. The best is the Temple of Vampires sequence but it is not quite complete so I don't know if it would work for you. (and may be too many episodes). ILAM's Bury Your Dead, Arizona is also a good one to represent the Blood and Thunder shows of that time.

Just let me know if you want me to post either of them for you Tom.
