I had posted three shows earlier today. I don't know why the third show didn't get on the post, so here it is.

Happy Veteran's Day to all who served. Thank you for your service!

From Goldin: The Eternal Light. November 11, 1956. NBC net. "Rosenblatt's Reply". Sustaining. A program in observance of Veteran's Day; the program opening is upcut. During the second war, an aircraft lands on a carrier with the words, "Rosenblatt's Reply" painted on the side. So, who was Herman Rosenblatt? After-drama speaker: Admiral J.J. Clark, U.S. Navy Retired, New York City. Herman Rosenblatt served in the Navy under Admiral Clark. Marc Siegel (writer), Leon Janney, Norman Rose, J. J. Clark, Mel Brandt (announcer, who has some difficulty introducing Admiral Clark), Raymond Bramley, David Putterman (cantor), Bob Hastings, Daniel Sutter (director).

A group of chess enthusiasts checked into a hotel, and were standing in the lobby discussing their recent tournament victories. After about an hour, the manager came out of the office, and asked them to disperse. 'But why,' they asked, as they moved off.
'Because,' he said, 'I can't stand chess-nuts boasting in an open foyer.'

I read  a story about the California Grizzly bear. Interesting because I didn't know that they were the largest land predator in the world absent the dinosaurs. Average 1500 pounds compared to the Kodiak grizzly at 900 pounds and the Rocky Mountain grizzly at 600 pounds. The largest on record weighed in at 2320 pounds and 14 feet tall. Extinct since 1924.

If you want to catch a squirrel just climb a tree and act like a nut.

The Spanish settlers of old California would dig a huge pit and put a 2000 pound bull in there with a male California grizzly to fight it out. That is where we got the expression "bulls and bears".

A wife had been talking on the phone for about half an hour, and then she hung up.
“Wow!,” said her husband, “That was short. You usually talk for two hours. What happened?”
“Wrong number,” replied the wife.

It's hump day (as in over the hump) for those of you still working.

People wonder why I call my toilet “The Jim” instead of “The John.”
I do it so I can say “I go to the Jim first thing every morning.”

Is something up with Pcloud? All of a sudden I'm getting the message "This link deleted by owner" when clicking a download link, Even ones that just worked the previous day.

I was just about caught up again after a weekend of on-line seminars and presentations. Some weird tech stuff happened during it and I'm starting to wonder about my motherboard. The computer has gone through two hard drive upgrades so it's certainly not new.

On a separate note, is it just me or does the Great Khan in Marco Polo sound like a somewhat fragile Sean Connery to anyone else?
